Vanessa & Ian Gender Reveal

I was planning on posting this session yesterday for Mother's Day but didn't want to reveal to the world the gender of their baby myself. Of course, I don't want to steal that right to these soon-to-be parents! So I waited for them and when I had the go-signal, I just have to post them right away.

You see, I love surprises. I mean who doesn't?? I love the thrill, the excitement, the adrenaline rush that go through your body when you get a surprise, or when you open a gift. It's nerve-wracking, palm sweating and heart palpitating! When Vanessa approached me to do their maternity photos and they also wanted to do a gender reveal, I got so excited. This is the first gender reveal I've done. So this is not only special to them but also to me. After weeks and weeks of planning and scheduling, I am freakin' happy to share these with you.

Yay for a Baby Girl! Congratulations again!!!

Portraits with Riva: Shelly

I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am to share these with you. I've met Shelly once through her boyfriend at our church a long time ago. We reconnected because of this shoot. Ahhh. I'm so glad that we did. The photo shoot was at eight in the morning with crazy winds, no assistant, and quite a hike just to get to the location, but it was all worth it. I'm just thankful that Shelly was game to do anything. Talk about professional right?

So here I present to you, Shelly. My 29th portrait.

Carol & Chester Wedding: Renewal of Vows

Can I just say, I am blessed to witness this adored couple renew their vows. Even more thrilled to be given the opportunity to photograph this once in a lifetime event. I've known this couple for a couple of years now. Their marriage is one of those that you admire and look up to.

Every girl dreams their own wedding. When Ate Carol shared her story with me, her desire to have a "real" wedding since they didn't have one 15 years ago, I understood her easily. 15 years ago, it was just the two of them at city hall with few witnesses back in the Philippines. Their reception was celebrated right after with only few relatives and close friends. Life happened, children grew up, Ate Carol's desire to be wed in front of God, families and loved ones grew more even though years have passed. True to His words, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.", it happened. God honored and allowed it, and ultimately He was glorified.
